I wonder if you realise how much of a hypocrite that makes you sound. I've seen comments you made to other members of this website and how you've berated and insulted them from the safety of the "internet's anonmity" as you so mellow dramatically put it. At least I can be respectfull to other members (unless they're like you and are being disrespectful to me).
But I'll give you a chance to prove to me otherwise:

and look for a guy with long red hair.
There, now you know were I live so you can come knock on my door and make your condesending remarks in person, all while I laugh directly in your face. I'll be waiting!

Last I checked, you've been the one acting like you've got anger management issues Brooke. In case you didn't notice, which I'm sure you did but just didn't care, all I did was tell you how to better secure the truss. Only mistake I made was in thinking you're a woman, in case you didn't notice, anonymity plays its part on the web if there's no picture of the person being referred to. And Brooke, is a common womans name whether its, your, first or last name. now I'm not here to argue, but if your strength and heart was as strong and fierce as your words then maybe you'd have a chance at discouraging me with your bullying and manipulation to gain attention. So since you are no patron, don't patronize me in order to satisfy your sense of subterfuge and moral outrage because talk is cheap when hiding behind private doors of the internet's anonymity. I out grew that form of intimidation in grade school since its usually a tool of last resorts manipulated by the weak in order to salvage your dignity... and yet, no matter what, you bullies never learn your lessons unless its with a taste of your own medicine

I had friends working security for that show. None of them were injured. Meanwhile I was working a stage for an outdoor hip hop show that same night here in Calgary. We felt an impact of the storm only tearing off the drapes that we just set up.

BTW, I've been a stageland for live concerts long enough to know very well how to build lighting truss'. Oh, and for the record, I'm actually a guy.

BROOKE, Reinforce each truss, put double the counter weight and screws to grip the floor mounts tightly to the ground, add a couple cable wire or metal frames for support. also, just in case, set up a perimeter fence measuring equal in proportion to the height of the truss distanced safely from the majority of the crowd.... :D. Brooke next time you two lovely ladies are in town, hallor at your Superboy.

Well, still teaching guitar, still hosting my Metal/Industrial radio show, and still doing stagehand work for live concerts. the STampede'happening right now here in Calgary, but I never really been into the whole cowboy thing.
I maybe working a festival at the end of the month at a samll town called Canmore, Alberta called 'Big Valley Jamboree' A lot of ppl on my crew shyed away from it, considering last year at the same festival, a strong wind took down a truss injuring several people, killing one. It was a nightmare to say the least. Hopefully we won't have a repeat of last year.
